Google Analytics
After installing Google Analytics software onto our clients web sites, Market Merchants Consulting provides a quarterly report showing increased search engine placement and effects from implemented web site marketing strategies.
The web site visibility analysis report begins by showing relevant data pertaining to visitor's wants and needs including:
- The number of visitors coming to the site and how they interact with your content.
- The average number of pages and amount of time spent on each page.
- The number of new versus returning visitors which helps to understand whether your site's content is engaging enough that visitors want to make return visits.
- The specific keywords visitors used to find your website.
We then clearly define the different sources sending traffic to your site. This data is split into three groups:
- Direct Traffic - Visitors who have either bookmarked the client site or typed the URL directly into the browser.
- Referring Sites - Visitors who came to the client site from another site.
- Search Engines - Visits from people who clicked on the client site from a search engine result page.
From a technical point the report looks at:
- Which Internet service providers send the majority of traffic and at what speed.
- Which browsers and operating systems are visitors accessing the site.
- The preferred languages used to view the site.
- The number of Java and Flash enabled browsers allowing our clients to optimize for the appropriate technical capabilities of their visitors.
Google Analytics continues to expand their reporting capabilities. As they do so we in turn improve our client's quarterly reports.
