Dr. Marina Chernin is the owner of Forever Teeth, a dental office located in the Sutton Place South community of East 54th Street in New York City. Over the years Dr. Chernin had been approached by several web site and search engine optimization companies. They each promised to build sites that would instantly produce high ranking search engine placement and significant traffic.

She spent money with YahooDomains to build out foreverteethdentist.com. She then spent more money with the Internet Dental Alliance to build out newyorknycosmeticdentist.com and spent even more money through a private consultant to build out Drchernin.com. All of these solutions failed to gain any significant page rank and therefore produced very little traffic.

After hearing of the successful track record of Market Merchants Consulting, Dr. Chernin met with us and expressed her frustration on continuing to spend money supporting these multiple domains. Despite Dr. Chernin already owning several domain names we felt it important to start the process over again and analyze important keywords relating to both her practice and location. This keyword report would support both the interior pages of the site as well as potentially lead to the purchase of a powerful domain name.

The keyword research report included a significant finding for determining a new domain name. Patients looking for a new dentist in Manhattan, despite living and working in a city with a robust transit system, want their dentist to be right around the corner. Therefore their search is based on three criteria. The first is the term "dentist"; the second is the term "New York" but most significantly the third is the exact zip code in which the patient lives or works. This information allowed Dr. Chernin to successfully purchase the domain dentistnewyork10022.com as the URL for her site.

While dentistnewyork10022.com is great for search engine optimization it isn't the prettiest on a business card or flyer. Having worked with other services prior to us Dr. Chernin owned several more professional sounding domains. We simply redirected those domains to the new domain. This allows her to advertise her practice as ForeverTeethDental.com which redirects users to the dentistnewyork10022.com web site.

With the keyword research in hand we designed the site to maximize Dr. Chernin's skills and location. After the launch we submitted the site map to the search engines. Within a month the site was being indexed and showing excellent progress in the search engine results pages. The site can now be found on the first page for each of the primary keyword phrases found in the research report. Traffic continues to improve to the site and Dr. Chernin couldn't be happier.
